Welcome everyone!

This website is about running and trails.  I decided to create it to record my own experiences running on trails, and to allow others to express their opinions too.  It is a work in progress, so keep checking back to see what's new.

I will share my opinions about trails that I have run (or sometimes just ridden on my bike).  You are welcome to contribute too.  If you want to add comments on my trails, feel free to email me at dan@runtrails.com.  If you want to submit feedback on a new trail, your best bet is to complete the new trail feedback form. I will add your comments when I have time.

I have made a few observations about equipment and other running related subjects too.  Read it if you want, but whatever you do, please enjoy the site, then hit the trail!

• 2007 Tour of California
Due to the road closure on Route 1, the Tour of California rode right by the Duck Shack this year during Stage 1!  It was an historic event, so I took a few pictures of them as they passed the house.  Here they are, plus some others from the Prologue and of some of the spectators.
• Utah
In September of 2006 Lori and I went to Southern Utah.  We loved it.  So much that we went back in December!  No story this time, but here are a few pictures.  Hopefully, I'll get more posted soon.  Check it out.
• Alaska
In September of 2005 Lori and I went to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park in Alaska.  What a spectacular experience!  And it was pretty easy to pull off too.  Check out the story.

• Mt. Tamalpais
Since moving up to Throckmorton Ridge, we have put lots of miles in on the local trails.  I have chronicled some of the runs here, and will add some more soon.
Meet Cookie, the next great trail runner!  She is a rat terrier, and in this picture she is about 12 weeks old.  Now she is about 1.5 years old.  How time flies -- and so does Cookie!  Check out the photos!
• 1969 F100
Check out my new truck!  I'm not sure what this has to do with trail running... I guess it's not a bad way to get to the trailhead.  Click here for more.
